Rising Rappers to take to the stage at Feel the Music Concert

The Feel the Music charity concert is a yearly concert hosted by the Rotaract Club of NUST with the purpose of raising money for an identified financial charity cause. Proceeds from the concert are channeled towards charity and in sustenance of the event annually. The 2017 Feel the Music concert is scheduled to take place on the 1st of April 2017. The concert beneficiaries have been identified as Bulawayo Shelter.

The concert also serves as a platform for young and upcoming artists to showcase their talents in a conducive setup, to a diverse audience and, best believe the talent is raw & ready to move your fit & score your playlist endorsement.  Line up includes: Rappers, Vocalists, Dancers, and music groups.

Rappers’ Profiles:


Tafadzwa ASAPH Tarukwana

Asaph is a HipHop artist from the ZimHiphop Award Winning group BurgBoiz based in Bulawayo. He first tasted national recognition in 2015 with his EP project #Kingsvilla which was critically acclaimed in ZimHipHop circles. From there he released SNDR which was his biggest single gaining him cosigns from South African Celebrities like Maps Maponyane and Nomuzi Mabhena. He has curtain raised for artists like KidX, Cassper Nyovest, AKA and MiCasa. This year he released his follow up project #Kingsvilla 2 which has been nominated for a ZimHiphop Award for Best Album and the single Ovyaas which is currently on heavy rotation on StarFM, ZiFM and SkyzmetroFM.

Born Crispen Rateiwa but also known by his stage name “R. Crisp”. Very passionate about music and  specialises in Zim Hip Hop. Having recorded many single tracks, this year he has decided to work on his debut album titled Takupisa. So far he has already publicly released three tracks from the album. These are Takupisa, Miyedzo and Gore Rino. He intends to record the remaining two tracks to make the Takupisa album have five tracks. Album launch is set for May. Crisp’s interests span from entertainment to leadership to networking.

I’m happy to be part of performers at FTM concert. Being a rotaractor, it feels good to be part of charity work. 



Born Tinashe Mtetwa, Luminous is a Hip Hop Artist/ Song writer raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. His passion for story-telling saw him fall in love with words. His words are carefully put together so as to sooth your soul and still provoke your thoughts. Humour, Drama, Suspense, Hope are among the things one can pick up from his lyrics which are delivered with a great flow accompanied by good music.
Luminous has 3 projects to his name, Truth Music mixtape, Meet Luminous mixtape and his latest offering Nkulumane Drive (EP) which was released on the 3rd of December 2016. He was nominated for ‘most influential male’ in the Christian Hip Hop Achievement Awards. Luminous aims to be a voice within urban culture and break the stereotype Christian Artist.
Luminous has in the past worked with Family Impact on a project called ‘Real men’, where he was required to share his 2cents on Biblical masculinity. He worked with the National AIDS Council in his Neighborhood, Nkulumane. He also worked with Scripture Union on the Rebuild The City Campaign, and The MAD Winter concert which focused on gathering warm clothes for the less privileged.


I’m a performer at heart, but to use your gift for a greater cause(Charity) is so satisfying.. I love to engage culture, shape or challenge people’s worldview and this being a charity event, its an opportunity for me to do so. I’m Passion driven and i try to do what i do with excellence with hopes of igniting a spark in someone’s heart to pursue that which they are passionate about. To entertain people for a greater cause is an honor that one cannot simply pass.

TBEATX (Beatboxer)


Tendai Svosve (born July 31 ,1995) is a Zimbabwean beatboxer , ex dancer ,who is widely known by his professional name Tbeatx. He grew up Harare in a small location called Budiriro 5, where he did his primary and later on went to Mufakose 2high.at this school thats where he met other dancers like  Takudzwa Mashonganyika popularly known as probeatz. The love for the Hip hop culture grew in him and he started taking beat boxing seriously and like any other talented youth ,he competed in the local competitions like Starbrite and Dreamstar. Tbeatx has also performed at the Changamire hip hop festivals ,Jibilika dance festival,the Bigger Than Hip Hop and the Intwasa festival ,he has also shared stage with various artist here in Bulawayo ,Tbeatx has been known to play beats with his mouth as rappers drop bars at the “Bigger than hip hop”. Besides music, Tendai has a passion for acting  and modelling. Tbeatx ,probeatz and other beatboxers have started a movement called zimbeatbox community where they recruit young beatboxers in the communities and recently did a workshop in Harare (soon to be done in Bulawayo)  to teach young stars how to beatbox .  Tbeatx,   also has a vision to start his Beatbox academy for the young people in Bulawayo to minimize drug abuse and other anti social activities.

I am performing in this show mainly to help raise funds for the homeless ,and also to show that there is hope for them,and also to show the nation that being an artist means to be a helper
