After an astonishing run of form by Claudio Ranieri’s lads last season Leicester City were crowned Champions Of English Football for the first time. A fairy-tale that came into reality for the Foxes. How Did that Happened? It Happened.
With all the top flight teams in the division and the money they spent to buy world class players, Leicester City with a squad worth only £200 million raised a lot of eyebrows with their top notch displays week in week out.
Ryhad Mahrez was crowned a player of the season award whilst his team mate Jamie Vardy with a whooping 24
goals contributed perceptibly to the team’s fortune to lift the lucrative English trophy.
Meanwhile Leicester City has dropped drastically in the top flight division. With only 5 wins out of the 25 games played so far. The Foxes are now in the relegation battle with one point above the dropping zone.
Despite their performance of last season , last season was an exception and the position they are in is the one we usually see them in the Premier League. With a surprise defeat against Millwall, the Foxes just don’t look like winning any football league at the moment. They are going down like a team with moccasin slippers on a glass mountain.
The only hope left for Leicester City is the Champions League which is also likely to be bad news after they were defeated against Sevilla in the 1st league of the tourney on Wednesday.
The Leicester City board of directors got a lot to ponder about as they are in search of a new manager as they sacked Claudio Ranieri. With the champions league and relegation battle looming large for Leicester City got puzzling circumstances coming their way.
