“No one Parties like the Bulawayo People” is a phrase most of my Harare friends always say whenever they are in town and hitting the Bulawayo clubs one after the other from Friday to Saturday, “Party weekend” they would call it.
This August Windermere Hotel hosts the Camp party from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th August and this I must say is tailor made for my friends. It’s not just the lineup of DJs and artists, nor is it the ice-cold beers but the fact that you don’t have to go home, you can bring a tent and party through the weekend nonstop, yes!
Situated 14km from the Bulawayo City Centre along Victoria Falls road, Windermere Hotel’s location and numerous activities it offers like canoeing, boat cruise, swimming pool among others makes it a perfect spot for a weekend party.
Let’s talk about the Entertainment
A total of 46 DJs and artists are set to keep the party going through the 3 days among then Mzoe7, KHoiKhoi of the Tipeiwo hwahwa track, DJ Sweeto, Danger box from SA, NickSoul and DJ Sky P both from Gwanda with Comedian Ckhanyiso dat guy as the Host not forgetting the resident DJs at Windermere Dj DMA, King Sg and Willz.
Friday kicks of the festivities with Qgmo vs Fire party with various DJs taking to the decks. Saturday is Legends are born August Party, celebrating the August babies which will the see performances from the ever energetic an entertaining Mzoe7 which is a sight not to miss. A Sunday chillaz closes of the weekend festivities.
With two swimming pools, beautiful scenery, boat cruise, canoeing, horse riding Windermere hotel is also open to families who want to go and enjoy their weekend. However, due to limited tent space, the organisers urge people to buy their tickets early. Tickets will be sold at $10 for the 3 days. According to the organisers, there will be variety of food stuffs sold at reasonable and competitive prices for the camp party attendees and tight security has been added. As for transport, people can get it by Amakhosi and it’s only a Dollar. More details will be shared as the date gets closer.
A great concept this is, one can only hope the organizers deliver and not lose their plot like the #Lost Party- Train. The Bulawayo Crowd will always turn up to support. As for my friends and I, it’s ON! for 25 to 27 August hope to see you there.
