73 Dead in Mozambique Fuel Accident, Several Critically injured

73 people dead and at least 100 people are  injured following  a fuel tank explosion. Many were injured when a tank transporting fuel from Beira in Malawi to Mozambique exploded.

The fuel tank exploded on the Mozambican side in the Caphiridzange village in the Tete province.
Unconfirmed reports say that the locals were attempting to siphon fuel out of the tanker after it had crashed.
The Mozambican Ministry of Information issued a statement which stated that there was a possibility that the incident had occurred after the vehicle had been ambushed by locals in the area. Government officials are expected to arrive on Friday for rescue procedure oversight and to launch an inquiry on the incident. More news as it comes
